Don't Talk To Strangers

Hi Guys,
I have to grade papers so it's a short entry for today. I saw the Internet safety videos and although informative it was a bit after school specialish. I'm thinking about showing it to my younger elementary students. As creepy as it seems, it's a cruel reality about the dangers that lurk in the world wide web.

This would be interesting to show to younger students to see their reactions. Young children have a difficult time realizing that people on the "other side" of the computer could be lying. Think about young children and TV shows. They often believe it is real and have a tough time differentiating real from fantasy. This video could be a good wake-up call.

Thanks for posting, Denise!

Hi Denise,
I like your Blog site. How do you put videos into a blog? Internet safety is something that everyone should be aware of. That's a great topic to show your younger students and somethig that should be discussed with the older ones. It gives them an awareness in deciphering truth from fiction. It also lets them know that they should research further before believing all they read. Great topic. Thanks for sharing.

Denise, that is a great idea to show the Internet safety video to your class. I'm goin to speak with the tech. coordinator at my school because I think the students and parents need to watch the video.
